Tiffany Diamond dazzles Dubai

One of the world’s largest at 128 carats, the yellow sparkler was once worn by Hollywood’s Audrey Hepburn for ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’; currently, on display in the emirate.

Legend has it that the head of Tiffany’s Paris once bought the Yellow sparkler for a mere $18,000 when it was imported into the US back in 1879.

Years later in 1972, the ‘New York Times’ carried an advertisement offering to sell the famous 128.54 carat Tiffany Yellow at a measly $5 million.

With its last known valuation of $12m at the end of 1983, the Tiffany Diamond is one of the largest yellow sparklers ever discovered, originally weighing at 287.42 carats in the rough when it was discovered in 1878 in the Kimberley mines in South Africa.

Also famous for its association with Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn in the classic, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, the stunning piece has now wound its way to Dubai, it’s second ever travel from its home in New York.

The Tiffany Yellow takes center stage at the jewellery brand’s flagship store in The Dubai Mall, on display until January 9 as tribute to mark the company’s 175th anniversary.

First look at Rihanna's collection for River Island

Rihanna has given us a preview of her debut collection for River Island, by wearing it out and sharing snaps from the set of the ad campaign.

The navy blue jumpsuit is, according to River Island, a taster of what's to come - and that seems to be clean lines, and a sports-luxe vibe - and, as River Island's CEO told us last week, "people will be surprised, it's not necessarily what they're expecting." Ooo, intriguing. We also know that the collection will feature bustier tops, as Rihanna's stylist mentioned during her recent 777 tour .

Singer Riri has also offered up another preview by tweeting a photo from the set of the ad campaign, which has been shot by Mario Sorrenti and appears to star British model Jourdan Dunn and Sudanese-American model Ataui Deng.

"Just directed my first ad campaign for my new collection with River Island, Spring/Summer 2013!! And that's a wrap at the end of a 2 day shoot w/ MARIO SORRENTI," she posted.

Emma Stone crowned 2012's Best Dressed, twice!!

Actress Emma Stone has topped both Vogue's and InStyle's best dressed of 2012 lists this week, making her the most stylish starlet of the year.

It seems 2012 has been quite the year for rising star Emma Stone.

Not only has the 24-year-old won a slew of acting accolades, appeared on countless magazine covers (including both the US and British editions of Vogue , one month after the other) and bagged herself Spiderman as a boyfriend, she's also scored big in the style stakes, becoming fashion's newest darling.

Style bible US Vogue apparently agree, choosing her to grace the cover of their annual 'best dressed' issue - an accolade which last year went to the sartorially-adored Olsen twins. The publication, which names the 10 most stylish stars of the year, also pledges their fashion approval of Rooney Mara, Solange Knowles, Zoe Saldana, Leelee Sobieski, Lauren Santo Domingo, Kristen Stewart, Lily Kwong, Kimberly Chandler and Dree Hemingway.

J. Lo Gets Woman Fired for Seeking an Autograph??!!

J. Lo says the hotel maid was not fired for that, Tweeting, "Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. 1st I heard of this was on twitter. #hurtful."

E! News says the employee in question, Pray Dodaj, wasn't fired but was transferred to another hotel.

Dodaj allegedly wasn't seeking an autograph, but entered the room unannounced early one morning.

J.Lo's security team, obviously concerned that a stranger showed up, notified the hotel management.

Lopez was reportedly staying at the Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany, at the time.

Her rep adds, "Jennifer is having a great time on her world tour traveling with her twins and mom."

"Jennifer always goes out of her way to meet and greet fans as evidenced by her recent twitter @tweet2meet engagements, as well as stopping to sign autographs and say hello to hotel staff."

Between this and Jennifer Lopez nip slip action, there's never a dull moment on her tour.

Gerard Butler... P.S: We Love You!!

Hollywood hunk Gerard Butler and Bollywood actress Kajol charmed Dubai on Wednesday night with their wit and refinement.

“I love this place. The last time I was here there was a lot of work in progress … I am astonished,” said Butler as he stood there admiring the stately DIFC Gate building.

The glamorous duo was in town to launch the Swiss watch company Roger Dubuis’ store at Emirates Boulevard.

Kajol and the P.S I Love You star became fans of each other minutes after hitting the red carpet.

“I love his work and I think he is such a funny guy. What’s not to like?” said Kajol. She even goaded him to wield the sword used for the ribbon cutting, prior to their red carpet roll call.

“This is Sparta,” said Butler in booming voice, borrowing the catchphrase from his warrior epic “300”. In his typical style, he joked around with the local press, making dramatic James Bond style moves and shooting from imaginary guns.

“You guys were so amazing,” said Butler, with a wink at the photographers.

He even entertained Dubai’s social set with some Bollywood moves at the party that followed.

“Come on, Shah Rukh [Khan] taught me a few moves at 5am some years ago. But I don’t remember it,” said Butler. However, he attempted a jig by aping the infamous screwing-the-lightbulb move, much to the delight of the guests.

Butler wowed the crowds, and definitely left us all speechless, and in love ;)

Big leaguers Beyoncé, Anna Dello Russo and Madonna have all been spotted in creations by Fausto Puglisi - but who is he?

It wouldn't be a Madonna tour without the outlandish outfits - Jean Paul Gaultier's conical-bra corsets, Dolce & Gabbana's rhinestone confections and Givenchy's S&M-ish leather have been some of her most memorable in the past. For her MDNA tour, which stopped off in London last night, they come courtesy of Gaultier again, who has revamped his famous piece from 1990's Blond Ambition tour - and one Fausto Puglisi, whose menacing bullet chains, fur coats and ram masks for her backing dancers are pitch-perfect.

Never heard of him? Neither had we, but alongside Madonna, big leaguers like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Anna Dello Russo, whom Puglisi credits for his ascent, are already acquainted with his flamboyant creations - impressive for someone who's had no formal design training (he studied Greek and Latin literature) and started his label two years ago. His line, inspired by the "power, sex and decadence of the Roman empire", is stocked in Spiga2, Dolce & Gabbana's Milan concept store. The 36-year-old Sicilian has also consulted for Versace, the label his work is often compared to, and worked with David LaChapelle. In short, the man is going places - we accost him for his musings.

On dressing Madonna

It all started during the promotion of Music, when Madonna wore my blouses. I was a boy and Arianne and Madonna have trusted me ever since. At the MTV Europe Music Awards in Stockholm [in 2000], Madonna wore an amazing Dolce & Gabbana red cowboy suit and I designed bling-bling, Swarovski accessories for her. I can't forget all the work I did by hand, putting hundreds of crystals and beads on while flying from Rome to New York. The hostesses were looking at me like I was ET."

Kanye wants Kim Kardashian to call him!!

Forget marriage proposals and alleged plans to have children together. Just how serious are things between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian?

According to an Us Weekly source, the rapper "doesn't like to be tied down by technology" and did not own a cellphone... until his new girlfriend came along.

"It frustrated Kim. She had to call him through a bodyguard," the source said of Kanye living in the 1980s, adding that he finally caved, joined the 21st century and purchased a phone.

But "he only uses it for Kim," the mole claims.

And, we presume, to call the paparazzi and let them know where he and Kim will "dating" that day.

Katie Holmes ignores Tom Cruise and Embraces FASHION!

While the 'who gets what' palaver is played out in the courts and the tabloids, Holmes is quietly concentrating on her fashion line Holmes & Yang and is set to present her latest collection at New York Fashion Week for the first time. WWD reveal that the star's spring/summer 2013 collection, which she creates with designer partner Jeanne Yang, will be presented in a yet to be confirmed location at the start of September.

It has been reported that the 33-year-old has made New York her home in her bid to seek full custody of her six-year-old daughter with Cruise, Suri. Although the couple were based in California - where courts tend to favour joint custody in which both parents get a voice on how children are raised - Holmes has now set up home in Manhattan.

Holmes has been pictured in New York filming scenes as a guest judge on reality fashion TV show Project Runway, and counts Jennifer Lawrence and Malin Akerman as celebrity fans of the label. Holmes & Yang is stocked by Harvey Nichols in London and Barneys New York.
