Fashion Designers in Disney's Animated Movie!

The likes of Anna Dello Russo, Carine Roitfeld and Nicolas Ghesquiere have been transformed into Disney characters to help Minnie Mouse realise her fashion dreams for New York department store Barney's festive campaign.

As part of the Fifth Avenue store's 'Electric Holiday' campaign, Disney have created a 5 minute-long cartoon featuring some of fashion's best known figures in animated form.

Watch as Minnie Mouse is transported into the hustle and bustle of Paris Fashion Week as she gazes longingly at a Lanvin dress in a shop window. On the way she meets the likes of Carine Roitfeld, Linda Evangelista and Alber Elbaz - the creator of her dream dress - gets papped by Steven Meisel, primped by Pat McGrath and preened by Guido, before taking to the catwalk with her fellow beloved Disney characters - Goofy in Balmain, Mickey in Balenciaga and Daisy in Dolce, plus many more.

It's the perfect meeting of fashion and fantasy - and the ending is beyond charming.

We're just wondering one thing - where's Wintour? Lol!

John Galliano Scandal

The latest twist in the story that won't go away sees John Galliano's  award revoked by François Hollande.

After being photographed lunching at the Paris Ritz with Anna Wintour during Haute Couture Fashion Week, it seemed things might finally be on the up for disgraced fashion designer John Galliano.

However WWD report that following his conviction for hurling anti-Semitic abuse at a woman outside a Paris café in February 2011, Galliano has been stripped of his Legion of Honour Award by French President, François Hollande.

The Gibraltar-born British fashion designer, who was ousted from creative director roles at both Christian Dior and his eponymous label following his arrest, was decorated as a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour at the Elysée Palace in 2010. The award is traditionally given for services to France, with other decorated fashion luminaries numbering Hubert de Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Azzedine Alaïa, Franca Sozzani, Marc Jacobs and Anna Wintour.

With rumours circling that he is poised to make a comeback in the ever-forgiving fashion world, Galliano will no doubt be dismayed that talk of the ugly incident - which the designer attributed to work-related stress - has flared-up again.

Separately, it is believed that Galliano has lodged an employee/employer dispute claim for over €15 million (£11.9 million) at the Conseil des Prud'hommes, with a Paris hearing scheduled for February 4, 2013.

It was Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's night at the duo scooped the Womenswear Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designers of America's annual awards in New York.

Anna Wintour presented Hilfiger with his awards, saying: "I admire him as much for who he is as what he has done."

Two honourees who were not in attendance to pick up their awards were Commes des Garçons' Rei Kawakubo, who won the International Award and Johnny Depp, who was given the Fashion Icon Award.
The awards also saw the Council of Fashion Designers of America celebrate its 50th anniversary. - Telegraph
